How hard would it be to establish a $1000 poker bankroll starting from nothing? That’s the question we’re trying to answer with our Bankroll Challenge.

The idea is inspired from an old article by Chris Ferguson titled, Ferguson Goes From Zero to Hero. Chris describes his experiment, attempting to turn $0 into a $10,000 bankroll, and the strategy he uses to manage his bankroll. He ended up completing his goal in September 2007.

We aren’t quite as ambitious nor can we commit hours each day to playing poker, so we’re making it our goal to build a $1000 bankroll starting from $0. We’re just average guys who want to learn to play the best poker we can and see how far we can go.
